2. I guess I am a newberrie. Building out my character, a scout sniper. - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Not trying to insult you or anything, I'm just trying to understand why you think Gallente scout snipers is where it's at. The perks of the scouts suit are high movement speed, low profile, and high detection abilities. The Gallente specifically ...

3. I guess I am a newberrie. Building out my character, a scout sniper. - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
So even though you've sitting still in full view of most of the map, you've decided that the suit with the lowest possible HP is the best choice for the role? Even with directional damage indicators? And sniper round tracers? I don't think you und...

Why in the world would you want to snipe in a damped scout suit?! Do you like being counter-sniped in one shot?

5. Deadend with thoughts (scout build tips requested) - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
This sounds like a very frustrating build. I run a prof 5 scrambler on my proto cal assault suit, and while it is extremely satisfying to put two in the skull of a red hacking a point or sniping, getting into a shootout with just the pistol is a v...

7. A couple questions for the experienced - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
I just bought a level of SP ammo capacity. Where before I had 11 in the clip with 31 waiting, after buying the first level of the skill I now have 11 in the clip plus 33 waiting. 2 extra rounds per level. EDIT - I have 11 rounds in the clip bec...

9. Scout suit stealth bonuses - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Oh wait, you're that guy that refuses to stop using starter fits even though you have a Dren BPO, aren't you. How's that working out. And to test your theory, someone would have to skill all the way into proto scout, one or the other, and then bu...

11. Flaylock pistol: what's the real deal? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Dude, "a slightly different timing" is the understatement of the year. When the other guys is in your face with an AR, strafing this way and that, that delay in your rockets hitting means its almost impossible to get a direct hit. As to the flay...

12. Flaylock pistol: what's the real deal? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
OP, the giant flaw in your analysis is that you're equivocating the ease of getting a body shot with a scrambler pistol with the ease of getting a body shot with a flaylock pistol. That is not the case at all. The slower speed of the rocket makes ...

Still haven't trained into it on an alt huh. I honestly don't get this. It's the easiest thing in the world to make a second/third char on your account, use some of the 500k SP given to train flaylocks, and take him for a spin in Academy for a few...

Active Scanners are always a factor, no matter what gun you run. But you can't go wrong with a TAR if you want to be effective while avoiding CQC, that's all I'm saying.
